Chapter 517: Cowards, Every Last One
Chapter 517: Cowards, Every Last One
Jiang Ran left the library and headed towards the teaching building.
On the way, quite a few people were heading in the same direction as her.
While walking, there were still people who occasionally cast their eyes on Jiang Ran.
Jiang Ran had already gotten used to these glances.
As she was walking, Jiang Ran felt that someone was approaching her from behind. The footsteps were getting closer, clearly coming for her.
Jiang Ran had just assumed a defensive posture when she heard a voice from behind.
"Hi!"
Even though it was just a short word, Jiang Ran recognized it as Wang Tiantian’s voice.
Jiang Ran turned her head and, indeed, saw Wang Tiantian beaming at her.
It was quite the coincidence; they had met in the cafeteria earlier, and now they were meeting again.
Just as Jiang Ran was thinking this, Wang Tiantian spoke up.
"What a coincidence! Running into you again."
Jiang Ran also nodded with a smile, "It really is quite the coincidence."
Upon reflection, it wasn’t really a coincidence; they both had classes to attend, and meeting was inevitable. After all, they were classmates.
When the two walked into the classroom together, they drew quite a bit of attention.
However, Wang Tiantian preferred not to sit in the first row and headed to the back instead.
Wang Tiantian originally wanted Jiang Ran to sit with her in the back, but Jiang Ran declined, so she had to go alone.
As soon as Wang Tiantian sat down, someone next to her leaned over.
"Wang Tiantian, you know her?"
They naturally meant Jiang Ran.
Wang Tiantian nodded, "Yes, I know her!"
"Really?"
"Really, we met during lunch."
Hearing this, the person next to her immediately had a complex expression.
Meeting during lunch meant they didn’t know each other before, right?
Seeing his expression, Wang Tiantian found it strange.
"What’s the problem, just because we met today at lunch doesn’t mean we don’t know each other, right? You haven’t even spoken to her yet, but I already have."
Upon hearing Wang Tiantian’s words, the expressions of the classmates eavesdropping nearby became even more complicated. Isn’t it just a conversation? What’s there to brag about?
If they went to say hi to Jiang Ran now, would Jiang Ran really ignore them?
Wang Tiantian wasn’t naive; she could tell from their expressions what they were thinking.
"Ha, why don’t you go then?"
They might think it but didn’t dare to actually do it.
Such little courage, yet they wanted to mock her.
The group exchanged glances, all showing hesitant expressions.
Greeting a classmate they didn’t know, especially one who seemed a bit aloof, brought some pressure.
While they wavered in indecision, the teacher walked in with a book.
Normally, upon seeing the teacher come in with a book, they would sigh deeply, and another two-hour lecture would begin.
But now, seeing the teacher walk in with a book, they all breathed a sigh of relief.
The teacher arrived just in time.
This saved them from this dilemma.
Wang Tiantian glanced at them, internally snorting in derision.
They might look all serious on the outside, but she knew they were secretly relieved.
Every single one of them is a coward!
Jiang Ran wasn’t aware of what happened afterwards; she had already opened her book.
