Chapter 277 Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver
Chapter 277 Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver
Genosha, a mutant-made nation.
Six years ago, the X-Men, at the cost of Professor X's sacrifice and Jean Grey's disappearance, prevented Stryker from manipulating Master Illusion to control Professor X and use the Enceladus to wipe out all mutants in the world. Perhaps, maybe, Magneto, having reformed himself, disbanded the Brotherhood of Mutants (and then Mystique reorganized it), and brought together sunken warships buried in the deep sea and space debris floating in space, reshaping them to build the island nation of Genosha for mutants in the Atlantic Ocean.
In just six years, 80% of the world’s mutants chose to immigrate to Kenosha, where more than 16 million mutants now live, and Magneto governs the country.
Meanwhile, his daughter, sixteen-year-old Wanda Maximoff, was sitting in a wicker chair in the back garden of Magneto Palace, the Führer's residence, flipping through a book. Suddenly, a silver blur appeared, accompanied by a gust of wind, and the book in Wanda's hand vanished. She looked speechlessly at her silver-haired brother standing not far away, holding an apple, presumably just taken from the kitchen, in one hand and the book Wanda had been reading in the other.
"The Social Contract, my God, you were reading this at sixteen? You're less than half an hour younger than me."
"Pietro~"
Wanda sighed and called out her brother's name helplessly. The next second, the book was back in her hands, and there was a plate of sliced apples on the small coffee table next to her.
"I am serving our future queen of Kenosha. Look how hard you are studying, Wanda. Dad will definitely choose you to inherit our kingdom."
"Ginosha isn't a monarchy, Pietro..."
"Really? Then why did he name the presidential palace Magneto Palace, erect a huge statue of himself in the capital's port, and name the square after our mother?" Pietro left and returned in a whirlwind, holding a sketchbook and quickly sketching a butterfly. "Don't be silly, Wanda. Our father wanted to build a mutant empire, not because I wanted to be a prince, but because it was the truth."
Wanda sighed helplessly, and before she could say anything, Pietro placed his sketchbook in her hand and shrugged: "What do you think?"
"You really don't have any talent for drawing."
"My God, you've been staying at home all this time, how would you know anything about—a talent for drawing? You should go out and get out, or meet some other people, go dancing and attend parties. We're young people, let's do things that young people should do."
Before Wanda could even finish her sigh, her brother tucked a pink rose into her red hair, and then Pietro finished a new sketch: "Great, that's how I'll tell them how beautiful my sister is."
Wanda couldn't take it anymore. The next time Pietro ran out, she raised her hand, and dark red energy splattered onto his face, knocking him off his feet and carving a furrow in the garden with her own face.
"Alright, why don't you go to Paris or New York for fun? Why do you come here and make me unhappy, bro?"
"Actually, Dad sent me to find you. He has guests coming to Kenosha and he wants someone to take care of them."
Pietro, who was practically stuck upside down in the ground, pulled himself out, quickly brushed the dirt off his hair, and Wanda, after a moment's thought, asked, "X-Men?"
"X-Men? You could say that. An X-Men guy brings a bunch of students to investigate a case. But what kind of special guests are X-Men? Everyone knows we'll have to deal with them sooner or later." Pietro shrugged and ran to his sister. "He's an Avenger, a non-mutant, and a celebrity! Father wants to give him a good welcome, to tell the world or someone else that he's not a terrorist, that Kenosha is warm and friendly, or something, I guess."
"When I go to see my father, I remember to clean the garden."
Pietro stood up, looked at the garden he had plowed into a deep trench, and scratched his head.
I didn't do this, so why should I clean it up?

"Celebrity" Peter was on the plane listening to Katie recount what was happening at the academy. He wasn't particularly concerned about the development of Xavier Academy itself, since it was a matter for mutants, but Katie was very enthusiastic in telling him about it.
Xavier Academy is now roughly divided into two factions. One is Emma, the White Queen, who invested in the school, and the Hellfire Corporation behind her. Emma already had her own small mutant academy in Massachusetts, where she created a mutant student group called "Helllion," modeled after the X-Men. The other faction consists of former X-Men members and contacts from Xavier Academy, who created a student group called "New Mutants" based on the professors' past ideas.
Katie is a member of the new mutant team. She has been given the codename "Shadowcat". The other four members of the team are Sunspot, who can absorb solar energy and gain superhuman strength, flight ability and energy emission; Cannon, who releases energy through his skin; Danny Moonstar, an Indian girl with telepathic abilities; and Wolfsbane, who can turn himself into a werewolf or even a wolf.
Katie temporarily took on the role of team leader because she truly had extensive combat experience—although it was only helping Hulk break free from the symbiote and injecting Grendel with a molecular stabilizer, the most important thing was her mindset. Her mindset was exceptionally good, and she had no resistance to combat.
"Of course, not everyone wants to fight. Logan wouldn't let Qianhuan join us—and Hell Lions aren't as cool as us. Their only real talent is their captain, who's a telepath. What are the others? One is a stone golem who can turn into mercury, another can turn into a sandstorm, and yet another can make anything he touches rot."
"It's not very nice to talk about your classmate like that, Katie."
Logan, who was piloting the plane—or more accurately, sitting in the cockpit and looking at the autopilot—said quietly that he had been quite unsettled ever since he heard from Peter that the Weapons X Division might have created a clone of his daughter. It wasn't until now that he realized what was going on. Katie stuck out her tongue helplessly and returned to her seat to chat with her teammates.
However, they didn't have much time left to chat.
"Genosha is almost here. Don't forget what I told you about Magneto. Even if he's pretending to be a good guy now, his personality won't change. Don't piss the old man off."
In the distance on the horizon, a seemingly bustling island gradually comes into view.
In the original comic, Kinosha Island is a natural island in the western Indian Ocean, close to Africa. Here, it has been changed to a metal island that Magneto crafted by hand.
For any time traveler, the simplest way to save the Marvel Universe is to replace Vision and fall in love with Wanda.
