"The 72 Transformations?"

What kind of figure was Patriarch Bodhi? He could tell with a single glance that Wu Tian had already learned the 72 Transformations. His gaze was so sharp that he also recognized Wu Tian had used an unconventional method to do so. But this, too, was a testament to Wu Tian’s ability.

Wu Tian’s Formless Starry Sky Scripture, in particular, astonished Patriarch Bodhi.

In the past, our group followed the Dao Ancestor into this realm, only to be stopped by a single individual. We originally thought that in the entire Immortal Emperor Realm, perhaps only that person could be considered a prodigy! But now it seems the Immortal Emperor Realm is home to a great many mystical techniques.

Patriarch Bodhi asked, "Fellow Daoist, what secret technique did you use?"

"This is a self-created technique, the Formless Starry Sky Scripture," Wu Tian replied.

Patriarch Bodhi nodded in satisfaction. He was no stranger to geniuses. There were those who, upon birth, declared, "In all of heaven and earth, I alone am the honored one!" Some were born wielding the Five-Colored Divine Light, nearly invincible unless a Saint intervened. But this Wu Tian was certainly not lacking in comparison.

If his Formless Starry Sky Scripture could replicate all of our cultivation techniques and gather the power of our magical treasures, he might just be able to contend with that one individual.

The normally composed and diligent Patriarch Bodhi couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement.

After one night, Wu Tian could now transform into flowers, grass, and trees, or take the form of snakes, insects, birds, and ants. He had grasped the 72 Transformations completely.

"Excellent, excellent, excellent!" Patriarch Bodhi exclaimed. "Since there is still some time, this humble Daoist will discuss the art of the Somersault Cloud with you! The flying techniques of the Immortal Emperor Realm are not as proficient as those from my Mountain and Sea Realm. If you merge the Somersault Cloud technique with your own speed, you could increase it tenfold!"

Upon hearing this, Wu Tian smiled slightly. "Fellow Daoist, I understand."

Patriarch Bodhi nodded. "You are not as reckless as that monkey. Once he learned something, he assumed he had mastered it and wouldn’t contemplate it further! One begets two, two beget three, and from three, all things arise! That is the essence of our Daoist path. That monkey learned how one begets two but never pondered what could come from the two! It was truly a waste of his aptitude."

It was the kind of regret one feels for a flower that withers just as it is about to fully bloom.

The saying goes that a single somersault can cover one hundred and eight thousand meters. Wu Tian likewise used his Formless Starry Sky Scripture to learn it. He didn’t just copy the Somersault Cloud technique but integrated it with the flight arts of the Immortal Emperor Realm. He immediately tested it with a few steps. With a single movement, his figure blurred into a series of afterimages. It was an incredibly formidable sight.

At the same time, Wu Tian felt a strain in the meridians of his legs, but it vanished with his next step. The fatigue had only been there on his first attempt; now, he was fine. Of course, if an ordinary person were to attempt this technique, the meridians in their legs would likely be completely destroyed.

Wu Tian left the Heavenly Emperor’s Treasure House and exited the Nine Dragon Ring.

It was early morning, and the scene at dawn held a unique charm. The gentle sun spilled its light, warming the earth without becoming too hot. In the distance, the houses and streets appeared as if draped in a veil of gold.

Wu Tian swept his Spiritual Sense across the city and saw that people were already bustling on the streets below, setting up their businesses for the day. Most of them were selling steamed buns and other breakfast foods.

City Lord Guang was also up early, practicing his cultivation. He was, of course, training in the Mountain and Sea Slash.

Wu Tian merely glanced at him before shaking his head slightly. "Not good, not good."

City Lord Guang stopped and turned to face Wu Tian. He was well aware that Wu Tian had mastered the Mountain and Sea Slash to its highest level.

"Please instruct me," City Lord Guang said at once.

Wu Tian, however, just shook his head. "If you wish for a harvest, you must first sow the seeds."

City Lord Guang was speechless.

You’re eating my food and staying in my home! Haven’t I paid enough?

The City Lord felt aggrieved but maintained a serious expression. "May I ask, sir, what is it that you desire?"

"The Royal Library," Wu Tian stated plainly.

"..." City Lord Guang hesitated.

Wu Tian smiled. "The Mountain and Sea Slash, at its max level... its blade light is now utterly incomparable to what it was before. It’s such a pity that, besides myself, no one else will ever be able to unleash such a blade light again. A pity, a pity, a pity..."

With each "pity," the weight in his tone grew heavier, and he made a motion as if he were about to walk away.

"Wait a moment!" City Lord Guang couldn’t hold back any longer and called out to him.

It was only the Royal Library. He naturally had access. As long as they avoided the harem, there would be no trouble at all. And just like that, he agreed. Too anxious to even eat breakfast, he immediately led Wu Tian toward the Royal Palace. He was desperate to learn how to cultivate the Mountain and Sea Slash to its peak level.

Soon after entering the Royal Palace, he brought Wu Tian before a large pavilion.

As they walked, City Lord Guang explained that the library was divided into two parts. The first floor was accessible to all ministers at any time and mainly contained historical records and other common books.

The second floor, however, was a different matter. It housed the Martial Arts Technique books collected by the royal family. While it didn’t contain anything like the Great Penetrating Fist, there were some Yellow Level and even Half-Profound Level Martial Arts. Only those who had received King Xiuyuan’s personal grace were permitted to browse the second floor.

"Mister Ming."

Leading Wu Tian to the entrance, City Lord Guang bowed respectfully to an elderly man who was admiring a calligraphy scroll by the door. In terms of official rank, a City Lord was naturally higher than a library caretaker. But this Mister Ming was no ordinary man. The kings of small nations often lacked confidence and enjoyed consulting ghost gods or seeking divination. Mister Ming was an expert in such arts.

"Bringing someone with you?" Mister Ming chuckled, stroking his white beard.

"Yes," City Lord Guang nodded.

"Remember, the second floor is off-limits. You may browse the first floor as you please," Mister Ming said succinctly before returning his attention to the scroll in his hands.

City Lord Guang and Wu Tian stepped through the entrance and into the library.

As their backs disappeared from view, Mister Ming couldn’t help but sigh. Poor soul. After killing the Regent King and Master Dao Zuo, I don’t even need to read his face to know he is undoubtedly destined to die.

After muttering to himself, he once again became engrossed in the artwork in his hands.

Everyone under heaven believed Wu Tian was doomed. Once King Xiuyuan emerged from his seclusion, a death sentence would be pronounced.

Yet Wu Tian was not the least bit troubled by this. His attention was completely focused on the books. Even for a small nation, the Royal Library was extensive. Of course, it wasn’t the largest library Wu Tian had ever seen.

He picked up a historical chronicle and began to read. His method of reading was extraordinary—the pages flipped past in a blur. The moment he finished one book, he immediately grabbed a second. He finished that one just as quickly and then reached for another historical chronicle.

City Lord Guang watched this scene with a strange expression on his face.

Having finished admiring his scroll, Mister Ming wandered over. When he saw how Wu Tian was "reading," he was taken aback. His brow furrowed deeply.

Putting on an act!

He refused to believe anyone could read that fast. Unless the man possessed Spiritual Martial Skills! But ever since the age of the Wutian Celestial Emperor, such skills had become exceptionally rare. How could this Wu Tian possibly possess them?

He walked over to City Lord Guang’s side and spoke in a low voice, "City Lord Guang, would you allow this old one to offer you a few words of advice?"
