Chapter 585: A Freak of Nature
Chapter 585: A Freak of Nature
The five top level black robed disciples standing behind her didn’t wait.FWOOOOOOSH!
In an instant, they shot forward, their bodies wrapped in dark Demonic Qi. They were high level demonic fighters, their speed and quickness far beyond any normal boss monster. They moved like five weightless dark shadows, gliding across the cracked stone toward the helpless bystanders with their black bone daggers drawn.
Gabriel did not turn his head. He didn’t even shift his stance.
"VV," Gabriel said softly, his voice barely a whisper. "Protect them."
Beside him, the armored figure of VV nodded once, her sword drawing with a clean metallic ring as she stepped in front of Cassie, Bunny, and the knocked out Sophie.
At the same time, the five top disciples closed the gap, three of them aiming their bone daggers straight at Gabriel’s throat, while the other two lunged toward the broken fighters on the floor.
Gabriel’s eyes flashed coldly beneath his mask.
Burrow Shift!
Before the daggers could even touch his wet coat, Gabriel’s body vanished. He sank straight into the stone floor, disappearing into a ripple of dark, shadowy space.
The three disciples’ strikes cut nothing but empty air, their forward momentum carrying them past.
"Where is he?!" one of them hissed.
Swoosh!
A split second later, a dark shadow burst up right in the middle of the five disciples. Gabriel emerged with his Dragon Fang dual blades already swinging. His raw physical stats, now far beyond 500 points in both Agility and Strength, made him a blinding, unstoppable killing machine.
He didn’t use any magic, but the sheer physical speed of his twin blades created a whistling vacuum in the stale air.
SLASH!
His left blade cut clean through the neck of the first disciple. The blade didn’t even slow down, the raw strength behind it shearing through muscle and bone as if they were soft paper.
A headless body dropped forward, blood spraying from the neck before the corpse could even register its death.
The second disciple tried to spin around, his bone dagger rising to block, but Gabriel’s right blade was already there.
CRUNCH!
The Dragon Fang blade struck the bone dagger, smashing the weapon into a hundred flying pieces. The strike carried through, driving straight into the disciple’s chest and splitting his iron plated ribcage wide open.
The disciple let out a choked gasp as his body was sent flying, crashing against the stone floor before breaking apart.
"Monster!" the remaining three disciples screamed, trying to launch a coordinated attack with high level demonic power.
But they were too slow.
Against Gabriel’s monstrous stats, their movements were in slow motion. Unlike Mo Shiyun, who had lived for hundreds of years, these disciples had only been appointed a few decades ago.
However, they were still as strong as Liang, perhaps even stronger.
Unfortunately for them, they had encountered a broken existence like Gabriel.
Gabriel stomped the ground, the stone beneath his boot caving in as he unleashed a blinding full circle sweep with both of his twin blades.
Bull Rush!
The physical blast of the leap launched him through their ranks.
SPLAT! SPLAT! SPLAT!
Three clean sideways cuts opened across the waists of the remaining disciples. The sheer monstrous force behind the Dragon Fangs sliced them clean in half. Their upper bodies slid across the blood covered stone floor, their eyes wide with shock.
Three seconds.
From the moment the disciples charged to the moment their bodies turned to dust, exactly three seconds had passed.
Gabriel stood in the center of the fresh slaughter. His breathing was perfectly even, and his Dragon Fang dual blades dripped with thick blackish red blood. He hadn’t taken a single step back, his posture as calm and unshakable as a mountain.
The entire chamber fell into a stunned, total silence.
Liang, Evelyn, and the surviving Broken Dawn members stared at the dark lone figure in complete speechless awe.
These five top disciples were high level demonic fighters, beasts that could have easily wiped out their entire group. Yet Gabriel had cut them all down in the blink of an eye.
Mo Shiyun stood perfectly still. Her bone mask remained silent, but the violet Demonic Qi around her body was no longer rippling. It was shaking.
She understood it now.
This man was not just strong. He was a freak of nature. An unnatural monster that completely broke the rules of this world.
"It seems," Mo Shiyun said, her rough voice dropping into a deep rumbling tone that made the stone walls of the cavern shake, "I have badly underestimated you."
Her eyes burned with a wild, ancient purple light.
Click. Click. Click.
The seven black iron nails floating behind her back suddenly turned a deep blood red color, letting out a high pitched screaming sound that resembled a thousand tortured souls. The Demonic Qi around her body exploded outward in a massive dark storm, cracking the ceiling of the cavern as huge chunks of stone began to fall into the pit.
"But I am Mo Shiyun," she roared, her black robes whipping wildly as her power reached its peak. "I have survived the masters, I have survived the spike, and I will not be stopped by a nameless mage!"
With a sudden violent wave of her hand, the seven blood red nails shot forward.
FWOOOOOOOOOOSH!
Each nail moved with the supersonic speed of a railgun round, ripping through the air and leaving a burning trail of dark purple light behind it as they aimed for Gabriel’s head and chest.
Gabriel did not blink. He slowly raised both of his Dragon Fang dual blades, his blue eyes flashing with cold merciless finality behind his visor as his aura surged up to meet hers.
"Then let’s see," Gabriel said softly, "if your legend can survive me."
